SHOULDER RESTS

Say goodbye to shoulder strain and discomfort with our shoulder rests for violinists of all ages.

WHAT IS A VIOLIN SHOULDER REST?

The shoulder rest usually connects to the back edge of violin using “feet” that are either padded with rubber tubing or made of soft plastic. Its purpose is to provide a more comfortable playing position by adding height to the shoulder and preventing the instrument from slipping. This allows for improved posture and stability while playing.

What shoulder rest size do I need?

Shoulder rests can typically be adjusted to customise the height and angle according to your preferences. When choosing a shoulder rest prioritise comfort as it can greatly enhance your experience and prevent long-term injuries.

To select the correct size for your shoulder rest, consider the size of your violin. For instance, if your violin is a 4/4 size, choose a shoulder rest that is also 4/4 in size.
