Music lesson fees are usually within the range of $50 to $180 per lesson, depending on the instrument, lesson duration, class format, and student level. Beginner violin students typically start from around $75 per lesson.

Where is LVL Music Academy located?

LVL Music Academy is located at 17 Yuk Tong Ave, Singapore 596322, in Bukit Timah. Our music school is near Beauty World MRT Exit B, making it convenient for students travelling by MRT, bus or car.

How do I get to LVL Music Academy by MRT?

LVL Music Academy is conveniently located near Beauty World MRT Station (Downtown Line / Blue Line), Exit B. From the station, it is approximately a 1-minute walk to our academy.

Is there parking near the music school?

Yes. There is a large carpark opposite the school, making it convenient for parents, adult students, and families who drive to LVL Music Academy for lessons, instrument purchases, rentals, repairs, or restoration services.

Should I buy a violin or cello before learning?

You do not need to buy an instrument immediately if you are unsure. We also offer rent first before deciding whether to purchase your own violin or cello.
We offer instrument rental in Singapore, with rental prices starting from $50 per month. If you later decide to buy an instrument, we can guide you in choosing a suitable violin or cello.

Can I buy a violin from LVL Music Academy?

Yes. LVL Music Academy also has a violin shop in Singapore, where students and parents can explore suitable violins for different learning levels.

Do you provide violin repair or restoration services?

Yes. LVL Music Academy has a dedicated workshop for violin repair and restoration in Singapore. Services include bow rehair, soundpost adjustment, bridge adjustment, string replacement, cleaning, polishing, setup and restoration.

When will lesson fees be collected?

Lessons are usually based on one term, and lesson fees are collected at the start of each new term. If you join us mid-term, your lesson fees will be prorated for the first term based on the remaining lessons.

Will I have a make-up lesson if I am unable to attend that week?

Yes. Make-up lessons are allowed and should be completed within the same term, subject to the school’s lesson policy and teacher availability.

Can I do a trial lesson before deciding whether to continue?

Yes. Trial lessons are available for students who would like to experience the lesson before committing to regular classes. The trial lesson fee will be waived when you enrol as a regular student with us.

Are your music teachers certified?

Our violin, cello, piano and music theory teachers are trained and experienced in their respective instruments. Many of our teachers have formal music qualifications, including ABRSM-related training and performance or teaching experience.

How are music classes conducted?

Music classes are conducted through one-to-one lessons or group classes, depending on the instrument, age, level and learning goals. Lessons can be held at our Bukit Timah music school, at the student’s home or online.

When is a good age for a child to start learning violin?

Every child is different, but many children can start violin lessons from around age 4 onwards. For younger children aged around 2.5 to 4, music appreciation or music and movement classes may be a better starting point.

I am an adult. Is it too late to learn violin?

No, it is not too late. Adults can learn the violin, cello, piano or music theory at any age. Lessons can be adjusted based on your pace, schedule and personal goals.

Do you offer music lessons for working adults?

Yes. LVL Music Academy offers music lessons for adults in Singapore, including busy working adults who prefer weekday evening or weekend lessons. Adult students can learn for leisure, personal development, exams or to restart an instrument they previously learned.

When should my child start taking music exams?

This depends on the child’s progress, practice routine and teacher’s recommendation. Some students may be ready for exam preparation after several months of consistent learning and home practice, while others may benefit from a longer foundation-building period.
