Previously, Sze Meen had violin lessons in a well-known music school without much progress. Thereafter, we found teacher Janice, who is very patient and experienced. Under her guidance, Sze Meen has made good progress and became more motivated to learn. Teacher Janice makes the effort to update on Sze Meen's progress after every lesson. I'm so glad to have found a good violin teacher for Sze Meen!
I have had around 6 lessons with Janice and it has been very helpful. In the past I had tried learning the violin by myself, on and off over 2 years or so, and made very little progress. As an adult learner with no prior musical training and blessed with poor body awareness, I do need plenty of guidance - and it's great to be able to get that. Janice emphasizes a lot on having the right posture, hold, bowing, and on being relaxed. She goes to great lengths to fix my errors, hand-holding till things are right. There is plenty to unlearn if you didn't start correctly. I also like the selection and order of her lessons and the pieces we play. Janice has initiated me into reading musical notation, which I had incorrectly presumed was very diffcult. This has made it possible for me to discover and learn new music to practise.
I have been attending going to Janice for violin classes for months now and it’s been a great experience. She has amazing personality, while she is fun personality, always smiling, she is on point with learning, which is amazing combination for a teacher. I started as a complete beginner and she is very patient with me all the time, even when i miss classes and practicing due to crazy work at my office. I would totally recommend Janice as a teacher for beginners as well as advanced. Btw she has been playing violin for decades, hence when she plays, it’s extremely motivating.
It is really helpful to have such a service to connect with teachers directly. I had first emailed many schools for lessons for an adult beginner, and had got almost no replies. Having been learning with Janice has been very helpful to correct my errors and learn the basics properly from the ground up. She is patient and her lessons have been a good mix of theory and practice, strengthened through exam preparations. I also appreciate the flexibility of being able to arrange timings at mutual convenience, as my schedule is unpredictable - don't think this would have been possible through a big-name school.
The lessons are fun and interesting The teacher is knd and helpful as she helps me whenever i need help.
Lesson was Good , Mr Elgar is a patient teacher who teaches in a no stress environment making it easy to learn.
For my boy who sort of wonder off at time, firm and caring Teacher Xiao Qing makes sure he gets back and focus on his pieces. It helps that Teacher Xiao Qing is a mother herself with a young child and knows how to handle them.
My childhood dream was to play a violin. As a beginner, I searched for a violin teacher to properly demonstrate and explain to me the basics of playing a violin. I came across this website, Learn Violin Lessons Singapore, and inquire for a teacher. The response was so quick and gave me all the information that I needed like the materials that I need for the lessons, necessary fees and of course the quality of the violin. Overall, I love the service they have provided me. Currently, I am studying violin under Ms. Janice. She’s very accommodating, encouraging, patient and compassionate, which makes me enjoy playing violin. Keep Inspiring people.
She’s very nice and pleasant, and playing the violin is definitely more interesting and fun under her guidance. It’s also great as she’s patient if you’re slower and because of her flexible schedule. Highly recommended if you want a good experience while learning
Charlotte has a very short attention span. She would start to play punk or cry at her previous teacher after 15 minutes of every lesson. But never since she started learning from teacher Janice. She enjoys her violin lessons a lot and did not complain that the lesson is too long. Bought my first ever handmade violin at LVL Music Academy which is really pretty and it sounds great. During my visit, I was attended by Gavin which is a very friendly guy and are knowledgeable on the instruments. The whole event feels very comfortable and not rushing just to get you to buy the instrument. Im also getting a chance to try other high quality violins even and they all sounds amazing in its unique way. Overall is an amazing experience and hope i had the chance to revisit and upgrade my violin in the future.

Found LVL Music Academy while in the area after seeing all the great reviews, so I brought my old violin for repair. Luthier Mr. Alan was really incredibly patient, attentive, and kind. He explained everything clearly The repair was done beautifully; my violin looks and sounds amazing again after years of neglect. He even took the time to teach me how to tune my violin, which I truly appreciated! Staff, Cong also attended to me during collection and was very helpful, patiently answering all my questions. Overall, a really pleasant and satisfying experience. I truly appreciate their care and passion. Highly recommend! Thank you! 😁🎻✨

My preparations of ABRSM Violin examinations in LVL Music Academy have been an amazingly successful and enjoyable experience. Since preparing for my Grade 7 Violin performance and Music Theory examinations from 2023 to 2024, I have been working together with passionate and dedicated teachers to aid on my violin techniques, as well as the historical and cultural elements of music. This has allowed me to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to achieve a Merit for both examinations. Additionally, the annual group orchestral performances organised by the school allowed me to have the opportunity to meet with likeminded individuals, as well as to improve my teamwork and leadership skills. These opportunities also enabled me to perform a solo performance which drastically improved my performance and expression on stage. Progressing towards the Grade 8 Violin examination from 2024 to 2025, I have learned more difficult and complex techniques on the violin. Despite the challenges, the patient and understanding teachers have helped me along the journey to improve my hand-eye coordination, dexterity and ability to keep a composed and expressive mind during the performance. Amazingly, I have successfully achieved a Distinction for the examination! I feel extremely delighted and proud of my achievement and would like to express my appreciation and gratitude towards all LVL Teachers and Staff for giving me the determination and confidence to continue on the journey despite setbacks. Overall, LVL Music Academy has given me the best experience of learning the violin in a conducive and supportive environment, and would use the knowledge and skills learnt in the future with the beautiful instrument of the violin. ✨ It was my first time attending Baroque and Beyond, and I was truly impressed! The concert showcased so many talented young musicians, and it was inspiring to see their passion and skill on stage. 🎶 A big thank you to LVL Music Academy for nurturing and raising such bright stars in music. 🌟
