Humidi-Cure 49% is a two-way instrument humidity control system designed to help maintain a more stable environment inside an instrument case. It absorbs excess moisture when humidity rises and releases moisture when conditions become dry.
Each pack contains 60g of solid plant-fibre humidity-control material and targets 49% relative humidity with ±2% RH precision.

Why 49% RH?
Wooden instruments continuously respond to moisture in the surrounding air. Repeated changes in humidity cause wooden components to expand and contract and can contribute to changes in tuning, fit and movement within the instrument.
Unlike a conventional humidifier that only adds moisture, Humidi-Cure works in both directions to help buffer excessively dry and excessively humid conditions.

How to Use Humidi-Cure
Open the Outer Packaging
Open the protective outer packaging only when you are ready to use the Humidi-Cure pack.
The humidity-control material begins working once exposed to air.
Do not tear open the Humidi-Cure packet itself.
Place Inside the Case
Lay the required Humidi-Cure pack or packs flat inside the instrument case, close to the instrument.
Suitable placement depends on the case design and may include beside the neck, inside the accessory compartment or another suitable flat area.
Close the Case
Close and latch the instrument case whenever the instrument is not being played.
A well-sealing case allows the humidity-control system to operate more efficiently.
Place Humidi-Cure packs flat inside the instrument case and do not fold them.
How Quickly Does It Work?
A fresh Humidi-Cure pack begins working within approximately 2–3 hours after it is exposed to air.
Allow approximately 24 hours for the environment inside the closed instrument case to stabilise before judging the RH indicator card.
Keep Unused Packs Sealed
Humidi-Cure starts exchanging moisture as soon as it is exposed to the surrounding air.
Keep spare packs sealed until they are required and minimise unnecessary exposure before placing them inside the case.
How to Read the RH Indicator Card
Each Humidi-Cure pack option includes RH indicator cards so you can monitor the humidity inside your instrument case.
Place the indicator card inside the closed case and allow approximately 24 hours before judging the reading.
How Long Does Humidi-Cure Last?
Service life depends on the instrument case, surrounding climate, how frequently the case is opened and the humidity conditions the system is correcting.
According to Humidi-Cure, a pack may last approximately three months in a well-sealing hard case opened only a few times per week.
Frequent opening, a poorly sealing case or more extreme conditions can shorten this considerably.
Replace by the Card, Not the Calendar
Use the supplied RH indicator card as the primary guide for determining when the active Humidi-Cure pack or packs need replacement.
A working pack generally remains soft, while a spent pack becomes noticeably stiffer.

Humidi-Cure FAQ
Can Humidi-Cure leak onto my instrument?
Humidi-Cure contains no liquid or gel reservoir. According to the manufacturer, moisture remains held within the plant-fibre material rather than forming liquid on the outside of the pouch.
Do I need a separate holder pouch?
No. The manufacturer states that the soft Humidi-Cure pouch is finish-safe and does not require an additional holder.
Can Humidi-Cure be used in Singapore's humid climate?
Yes. In tropical air, Humidi-Cure will primarily work by absorbing excess moisture. A well-sealing instrument case helps the system maintain its target environment more efficiently.
How many Humidi-Cure packs should I use?

How do I know when Humidi-Cure needs replacing?
Use the supplied RH indicator card as the primary guide. If the reading remains at 40% RH or below, or 60% RH or above, for approximately a day, replace the active Humidi-Cure pack or packs. A spent pack also tends to feel noticeably stiffer than an active pack.
