LVL Music has announced its 2026 International Music Exchange Programme in Tokyo, Japan, taking place from 17 to 22 December 2026.
The six-day programme will bring together musical preparation in Singapore with masterclasses, ensemble participation, orchestral rehearsals and a concert performance in Tokyo.
Students taking part will complete three pre-concert rehearsals in Singapore before travelling to Japan, where the programme continues with an individual masterclass, ensemble participation, a pre-concert rehearsal with orchestra and a performance with a full orchestra at Shinjuku Bunka Center.
From Singapore Rehearsals to Tokyo Performance
Preparation for the programme begins before departure.
Participants will attend three pre-concert rehearsals in Singapore, giving them time to prepare their repertoire and work through the musical requirements of the programme before travelling to Tokyo.
Once in Japan, students will move into a schedule that combines individual and ensemble work.

The structure places preparation, rehearsal and collaboration alongside the final performance rather than treating the overseas concert as a standalone event.
Learning Within a Different Musical Environment
International programmes give young musicians an opportunity to experience music outside the routine of their regular lessons and rehearsals in Singapore.
An individual masterclass places the student in a different learning environment, while ensemble and orchestral participation require musicians to work as part of a larger group.
The programme therefore moves through several different musical settings: individual learning, smaller ensemble participation, orchestral rehearsal and finally performance.
For students accustomed to preparing primarily through weekly lessons and local performances, working through these different stages can provide a broader experience of how musicians prepare for a larger concert.
Concert Performance at Shinjuku Bunka Center
The programme will culminate in a concert performance with a full orchestra at Shinjuku Bunka Center in Tokyo.
The Shinjuku cultural facility hosts classical concerts and other performing arts events and includes dedicated concert and rehearsal spaces.
For participating LVL students, the concert will bring together the preparation completed in Singapore and the musical activities undertaken during their time in Tokyo.
The final performance is one part of a wider programme designed around rehearsal, individual development and ensemble participation rather than being limited to the concert itself.
Continuing LVL’s International Music Programmes
The 2026 Tokyo programme continues LVL Music Academy’s previous overseas music experiences.
